SEPTEMBER 7 - SEPTEMBER 22, 2018
김태윤 (b.1982)
박민하 (b.1984)
허지혜 (b.1982)

“The Camp” is an exhibition project curated by Whistle aiming at multifaceted exploration of works at a varying exhibition space. As first of the series, <Timekeepers> at Galerie ERD presents Taeyoon Kim, Min Ha Park, Eimei Kaneyama, and Jiieh Hur, inducing close observation of expressed or recorded time. The four floors of the exhibition space varies in undulation, each with distinctive textures and disposition.
Taeyoon Kim (b.1982)
Taeyoon Kim uses video, sculpture and sound to explore a relativeness of time felt by the individuals. Through computer coding and editing process, the artist repeats his video clips erratically, free from linear time frame. An occasional spark of rhythm observed from the installation resembles Kim’s audio works inspired from his collection of daily sounds, or a form of noise.
Min Ha Park (b.1984)
Min Ha Park uses landscape to make parallel of its condition and emotions. Light is an essential component in her paintings, expressed via different layer of reality that coexists within the scenery. Seemingly intuitive, her works revolve around a series of process transferring vague form of light, scenes or their afterimages on to the canvas. Landscapes is distorted in intense colors, becoming a different form from its reality
Eimei Kaneyama (b.1981)
Eimei Kaneyama acknowledges himself as working in the middle ground of figurative and abstract painting. Kaneyama collects specific scenes, news, images, etc. whether perceived consciously or not, then paints based on their associated memories. His individual works are sometimes an extension of his past work, however carry their own narratives or intermin- gled into producing new ones.
Jiieh Hur (b.1982)
Hur’s ascetical works are based on her emotional response to various interests and experience. Varying physical results from this process is materialized into sculptures, drawings and sound installations. Hur’s distinctive style of installation concen- trates and prolongs the viewing experience . Under the delicate forms of <Scramble The Signals>(2018) or <Post Ground>(2018) lay condensation of meticulous calculations and the artist’s emotions.KOR
